One thing that characterises the displays of garment printing shops online and in stores is the extremely wide selection, which can make finding the right solution tiring and cumbersome. It sure is hard to get a clear picture: alternating brands, product colours, prices, categories, but the overall impression stays more or less the same. It seems like the main idea is to offer everything, and the selection is basically left to us.
Our team at Kind faced a similar question: what are the products that we should include in our studio’s selection or that should be worn by our team daily?
I’ll try to highlight the basic principles of selecting clothes that are worth considering!

There’s a real need for branded products that are meant for marking or advertising short-term events (conferences, camps, festivals etc.).
Based on experience, we can say that these products are made using fewer resources (material, working time or creative attention). They are characterised by thinner materials, more fragile threads, lower-quality seams, synthetic garments and colours, and simpler styles. The result is less comfort and elegance!
Lower quality products are consumed in abundance (e.g., tourist shops) and cheaper items can even be found among the products of well-known designers. The reason may be that they wish to earn more profit, or they just lack better selection!

There is no reason to think that higher-quality branded clothes are too expensive or not worth buying! Depending on the brand, they also vary in price and quality. But premium products are definitely longer-lasting and more comfortable! Their materials are often thicker, the seams are more precise and stronger, the colours are more skin-friendly and resistant to washing, the styles are more comfortable, the products are more practical and elegant. For example, the zippers, collars, sleeves and hems are made with great precision.
High-quality branded clothes are usually selected for teams for their everyday outfit, or for sports clubs who need clothes that withstand heavy use, e.g., football matches, hiking, physical exercise. Top-notch sportswear must be stretchy, breathable and durable.

Designer clothes are good-looking, offer emotional pleasure and are a good way of expressing a brand or yourself. Designer clothes differ from premium clothes in many ways – they have more interesting styles, wide and trendy colour selection, rich selection of materials, and sustainable production journey. When it comes to quality, eco clothes are included in all three types above, but they are distinguished by exceptional sustainability. A great deal of attention is paid to the ethical treatment of the workforce, production efficiency, product recycling, the selection of natural materials and colours, and even to the more ethical advertising and sale of products. These types of products don’t cause skin irritation, they let the body breathe more naturally and they also look great. Eco products are a good choice for children’s clothes, people with allergies, night and homewear and in fact, for everyone else too!
It is assuring to see that eco-friendly products are already widely available in shops at a competitive price level, and new products keep getting added to the selection!
