BONOBO scented candle series

BONOBO is an Estonian cosmetics line created for women who appreciate nature and naturalness. The creator of BONOBO, Kristi Kalluste produces many nice products with the wisdom of hand-picked Estonian plants and organic unrefined shea butter. It’s a pleasure to see that they use jar recycling, so next time grab a jar of your old BONOBO product and get a new one cheaper!

BONOBO approached us with the desire to harmonize the design of its candle series with the rest of the range of products.

BONOBO produces candles with three different scents – lemongrass, lavender and juniper. In the original design, the cover and product sticker did not match stylistically, and the beige tone used in the background of the sticker was rather a distracting element that did not remain very beautiful in the print. The product information sticker under the candle had a black background and white text, which was rather unfamiliar from the point of view of design, as the BONOBO brand itself is very bright and cheerful. The bottom of the jar was not an even smooth surface, so the sticker remained wrinkled and the result was not of high quality.

We made stickers in different sizes and harmonized the design between the cover sticker, the product sticker and the product information label. We brought the colours used in the colourful logos to the product stickers and added a matching illustration to each fragrance. Since the information sticker under the jar did not work, we offered a double-sided product label instead, which can be hung around the candle with a beautiful ribbon.

For printing, we used natural paper with a delicate texture and digital printing, which has high environmental standards.

Working with BONOBO was very pleasant, our office now smells wonderful thanks to their lavender candle.
