We were able to participate in the design and production of an educational children’s book. The author Anneli Jaeger wrote a fun and instructive book “Vigurike m\u00f5tlushik” and which was illustrated by Triinu Noormets. The book contains topics that can be discussed with children and that make them think about how to cope with their fears. Why do we get angry and how to apologize later. Such social skills are important to Anneli and she believes that she can also support other families with this book. <\/p>\n\n
When putting together the book, we had to keep several factors in mind. Since it is still a children’s book, the book covers had to be durable so that the joy of reading would continue for future generations. Therefore, we decided to protect the lids with a thin laminate, but finish with a soft velvety effect. We wanted the book to leave the child feeling good when held in the hand, but the illustrations on the cover would be protected from more severe injuries and stains. <\/p>\n\n
For the cover and title page paper, we chose a cheerful corn yellow shade from Kaskadi, which matched the illustrations wonderfully.<\/p>\n\n
The stories and pictures were printed offset on Munken Lynx paper. The natural and slightly pale tone of the paper was a great foundation, which, together with the illustrations, created a nostalgic atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n
500 books were printed and the fun Vigurike can also be found in larger bookstores such as Rahva Raamat or
