If someone asks you to design the most special calendar in the world, then even an experienced designer may be a little worried. We had to design shipping-related wall calendars for LTH Baas that would be unique and win hearts. <\/p>\n\n
At the beginning of the design process, we dressed the cruise ships with Estonian national patterns and lace, but it seemed to appeal more to the female members of LTH. We continued to work on the design and came up with the main idea of seagoing vessels that visit different cities and places. During the calendar months, maritime vehicles, city and sea views, and the mechanical parts of maritime vessels \u2013 anchor, engine, etc. <\/p>\n\n
Of the illustrations we created, we liked the graphics of sailboats near the city the most, based on which we designed the detail of the sailboat that belongs to the calendar. We felt that it could become a sea-themed souvenir that could also be used separately from the calendar. So we designed the sailboat as an embossed sticker that is easy to attach to different surfaces – laptops, table lamps. <\/p>\n\n
We printed the calendars double-sided to reduce the printed mass by 100%. In addition, we replaced the traditional spiral and hanging hook in the calendar header with a simple punched hole that can be used to hang the calendar on the wall. Know that the hanging hole can also be designed in different shapes and sizes \u2013 a seagoing ship, a star in the sky. <\/p>\n\n
A lot of information went into the calendars (illustrations, flags, logo) and at the same time it had to be convenient to take him on a trip or send him by mail. We made the calendars in square shape and A3 size so that the information would be easy to follow on the wall, but the calendar would also fit in hand luggage. <\/p>\n\n
